Classic

Traditional techniques focused on observation, composition, and timeless subject matter.

This body of work reflects my ongoing appreciation for traditional art techniques and careful observation. Working in acrylics, oils, pastels, lithography, charcoal, and sketch studies, I focus on form, light, and composition in a more timeless way. The process is slower and deliberate, allowing small details and subtle shifts in tone to guide the piece. These works are grounded and familiar, created to feel enduring, calm, and quietly expressive.

A Moment To Herself

Acrylic on canvas

An acrylic painting capturing a dramatic sunset moment — the sky alive with movement, warmth, and shifting color. In the foreground, a solitary figure pauses, standing quietly and taking in the vastness before her.

Painted in a loose impressionist style, the scene is less about a specific place and more about a feeling: that rare moment when time slows, the noise drops away, and you simply exist inside the light.

This piece explores reflection, presence, and the emotional pull of open space. The small scale invites an intimate viewing experience — a private horizon the viewer can return to again and again.

Artist Notes

I’m often drawn to moments where nothing is happening — yet everything is being felt. This painting is about the pause. The breath between busy days. The moment you step outside yourself and remember the world is larger than your thoughts.

The figure is intentionally anonymous so the viewer can step into her place. She isn’t waiting for anything. She’s witnessing. And in that witnessing, there’s a sense of calm, perspective, and quiet renewal.
